A few small values live in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie: your chosen interface language, which site notices you have dismissed, and your local notification history. Those never leave your device. One does: if you use the character card studio without an account, a random identifier is stored and sent with those lookups so the daily allowance counts your browser rather than your whole internet provider. It is tied to no account and used for nothing else.
